This Privacy Policy explains how QMET Academy (“QMET Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Julien Atallah as a sole proprietor, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit qmet-academy.com (the “Site”) and use our online exam-preparation courses and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and stored only in encrypted (hashed) form.
- Purchase information — the courses or products you buy and related transaction identifiers. Your payment card details are entered directly on our payment processor’s secure pages; we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Communications — information you include when you contact us for support.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — the lessons and courses you access, your quiz and mock-exam responses and scores, and your progress through the material.
- Technical data — your IP address, device and browser type, and log information generated when you use the Site, including approximate location derived from your IP address.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and deliver the content you purchase;
- To create and manage your account and track your course progress and results;
- To process payments and to detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse;
- To send you transactional messages such as receipts, account notices, and support responses, and—where you have opted in—occasional product updates;
- To improve and develop our courses, features, and overall Service; and
- To comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations and to enforce our terms.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service, with the service providers (“sub-processors”) below, and as required by law:

We may also disclose information to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will continue to protect your information consistent with this Policy).
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to operate core features of the Site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the Site works.
Learning tools and optional submissions
Study notes, bookmarks, reading position, checkpoint responses and study plans are stored with your progress. Account saving also stores attempts, deadlines and server-calculated practice results. Certificate verification is disabled by default; enabling it makes the displayed name, course, issue date and record ID available to anyone with its link. You may disable sharing from the certificate page.
Course-interest and feedback forms store the email, course, message and consent choices you submit. Permission to consider a testimonial is optional and does not result in automatic publication. Optional usage measurement is off unless you enable it. It records event names, course IDs and timestamps without a name, email or visitor identifier in the event record. Core service-provider logs and account records remain separate.

5. Data Retention
We retain your account and usage information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as required to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations or to resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see “Your Rights” below).
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), processing of payments through a PCI-compliant provider, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of marketing communications. Residents of California have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (note: we do not sell or share your personal information), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Users
QMET Academy is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
