QMET Academy ยท Independent preparation

Your self-paced study guide

A practical routine, planning sheet and error log for independent exam preparation.

A study session you can repeat

  1. Set a small target. Choose a lecture section or one concept.
  2. Read the explanation. Work the example before revealing its solution.
  3. Retrieve the idea. Answer a checkpoint without looking back.
  4. Explain the error. Record why the tempting wrong answer fails.
  5. Return later. Revisit difficult ideas after one, three, seven and fourteen days.

A long lecture can span several sessions. Finish the content at a pace that lets you explain it, then mark it complete.

Plan backward from your target

Reserve time for full lectures, module quizzes, review and mock exams. Allocate more time to topics you cannot yet explain. A calendar estimate is a planning aid, not a promise that a particular number of hours is sufficient.
